Training, Prevention and Awareness

Through our network of doctors and healthcare professionals on the ground, and during our own reconnaissance visit, we determined that a large portion of medical issues in Bangladesh are preventable and/or due to medical malpractices or lack of awareness. This stream of BHDI is therefore set up to carry out the following types of projects:

FIRST AID TRAINING

VILLAGE MEDICAL PRACTICE STANDARDISATION

PREVENTION AND AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS

First Aid Training

The BHDI will deliver train the trainer training and publish resources e.g. videos to help our trained first aiders to deliver their own training thereby proliferating a resource base of first aid trained personnel who vital interventions could save lives.

Village Medical Practice Standardisation

The BHDI will support the delivery of training of village medical practitioners to upskill them and standardise their practice. The Bangladesh Ministry of Health currently run such a program and BHDI will work with the ministry to help promote and deliver this further

Prevention and Awareness Campaigns

The BHDI will bring on-board high profile sports personalities as ambassadors of BHDI to help broadcast health related messages to the masses. We will identify priority health prevention areas and develop video messages with these ambassadors in them to deliver messages of awareness, encouragement and prevention.
